Instructions:
Break the children into groups of 4 (depending on the size of the party).

All children in the group must get a chance to hit the balloon up in the air.

The balloon should not touch the ground otherwise that group is out.

To keep the game fun, tell the children which body part they must use to keep the balloon in the air…. Head, hand, palm, elbow, ankle, foot, knee etc….

So now if the person uses the wrong body part or lets it hit the ground they are out of the game. This game is played in rounds, so once a group’s balloon hits the ground, they stop until all the groups have finished.

Suggestion: Start with uncomplicated ones like foot, knee and hand and once they get a little confident, increase the difficulty and fun.

If it’s only a small group of children, you do not have to break up the children into groups. The child who lets the balloon drop to the ground is then out.

Instructions:
Place a potato on the spoon and then with the word “Go” the birthday party guests must walk from the starting line to the finish line without dropping the potato. The first one to cross the line with the potato still on the spoon wins the game.

This game can also be played in teams if the party is very big. Place the children on opposite sides to each other. On the word go, the children have to get to their partner without dropping the potato. The team member must give the spoon and potato to their team mate when they reach them. That child must then take their turn with the spoon to where their team mate has just come from.

Instructions:
Fill up a see through jar with lots of small sweets or small toys. Count them before you put them into the jar. As the children arrive for the birthday party have them guess how many toys or sweets they think are in the jar. Write down each birthday party guest’s guess. At the end of the birthday party reveal who guessed closest to the right number. The winner takes home a small prize (see Toby Tower gift ideas) or they can win the jar of sweets.

Instructions:
This is a fun party game which can be played indoors and will keep the children entertained.

Attach a large piece of plain drawing paper on the wall at child height. One child is chosen to be the artist and he is blindfolded. Ask him to draw a house and then the children take it in turns to ask him to add things to the picture such as a chimney, window, tree, people and even himself. The resulting drawing rarely resembles a house but it is very funny to look at.

Instructions:
The quick and easy version of this game is to wrap a gift in layers and layers of wrapping paper and then play a game like hot potato where you pass the gift until the music stops. The child that has the gift in their hands when the music stops, then unwraps a layer of gift wrap. The person to unwrap the last layer of wrapping paper wins the gift.

To make the game more entertaining and fun, include a slip of paper with a message on it in between each layer of gift wrap. On this piece of paper could be an action or a bonus prize. It is recommended that you have at least ten or more wrappings, but no more than twenty. Played to music, all the players move round while the music is playing, when the music stops the players freeze like statues, anyone who moves is out. Start the music again and repeat as until there is one statue left. Then play again
